Salary: £80-130k + 30% bonus
About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing, hands-on Senior HR Manager to lead and deliver across a broad spectrum of HR and operational responsibilities. This is a high-impact role suited to someone in the latter part of their career, bringing maturity, energy, and strategic insight to a fast-paced, VC-backed environment.
You’ll be the driving force behind HR operations, people communications, systems, and culture initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and portfolio companies, ensuring seamless delivery across HR processes, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations across the group, including contracts, onboarding/offboarding, payroll, and benefits.
- Own and manage HRIS systems (e.g., HiBob, Lattice), including implementation, workflows, and training.
- Partner with senior leadership on people strategy, culture, and communications.
- Deliver people reporting and insights to the board and executive team.
- Manage company-wide events, including international forums, employee engagement, and ESG initiatives.
- Oversee recruitment and internship programmes, including coordination and onboarding.
- Liaise with legal teams to draft consultancy and employment agreements.
- Drive policy development and implementation across DEI, travel, data, and expenses.
- Manage front-of-house and operations teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the office.
- Coordinate internal and external speaker programmes and company-wide communications.
Candidate Profile
- Must have a background in venture capital or private equity, with proven experience in senior HR roles. Experience outside of PE, VC or Hedge funds will not be considered.
- Educated at a top-tier university, ideally with a strong academic track record.
- Consistent tenure in previous roles – we are looking for candidates who have demonstrated commitment and progression, not contractors or short-term consultants.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience in HRIS platforms (HiBob, Lattice preferred).
- Exceptional communicator with a fine eye for detail and discretion.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent.
- Energetic, delivery-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-trust environment.
