Your new role

As Senior HR Advisor, you will support the HR Manager in delivering a comprehensive HR service across the organisation. You’ll lead a small HR team and oversee key areas of the employee lifecycle including:

  • Provide expert HR advice and support on policies, procedures, and employee relations.
  • Lead and develop a small HR team to deliver across recruitment, onboarding, absence, and compliance.
  • Manage and process payroll activities with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Oversee HR administration and ensure data integrity across systems and records.
  • Develop and update HR policies in line with legislation and organisational needs.
  • Support health and wellbeing initiatives and contribute to HR projects and strategy.
  • Promote a culture of engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in HR or a related field, or a CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above).

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role covering the full employee lifecycle.

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and experience handling employee relations matters.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a confidential environment.

  • Experience in recruitment, absence management, and policy development.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Desirable: Experience in payroll processing and familiarity with HR/payroll systems.
