As part of its commitment to maintaining safe, secure, and well-managed housing, the council is seeking a Senior Housing Officer to join its housing services team based in Kingstanding.

Your new role

This full-time position operates Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm and is based at Kingstanding. The role is fully in office/ on-site. Covering areas across Central and North Birmingham—including Highgate, Nechells, Ladywood, Aston, Sutton, and Erdington—you will be responsible for conducting home visits, managing introductory tenancy checks, investigating tenancy breaches, and addressing issues such as overgrown gardens. You will also gather documentation for mutual exchanges and support a range of tenancy-related investigations. This is a three-month ongoing contract with a strong likelihood of extension.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you must hold a valid driving licence and be able to travel across the designated areas. A Basic DBS check is required prior to starting. What you'll get in return
