Finance Manager

Finance Manager – Retail Interiors | High Wycombe | Up to £65,000 + Bonus

An established and privately owned retail interiors dealership based in High Wycombe is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function across two entities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company where finance is seen as a strategic partner to the business.

The Role
This is a broad and hands-on finance role with full responsibility for financial operations, reporting, and strategic input. Key duties include:
  • Leading monthly variance analysis and review meetings with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT, corporation tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising with external advisors and auditors.
  • Improving financial reporting systems and processes.
  • Preparing finance packs for Board meetings and supporting new business proposals.
  • Managing cost centres and cross-charges across two companies.
  • Overseeing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing purchase ledger, supplier payments, sales ledger, and debtor control.
  • Introducing forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Running month-end processes and maintaining financial controls.
  • Conducting sales and revenue analysis and preparing cash flow forecasts.
  • Submitting VAT returns and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing payroll data and year-end accounting files.
  • Line managing an account assistant and providing cover when needed.
  • Supporting ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
The Person
We’re looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong post-qualification experience and a commercial mindset. You’ll need:
  • Experience with SAGE and strong IT literacy.
  • A solid understanding of how commercial businesses operate.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
