As Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting strategic financial decision-making across the Organising Committee. You’ll lead financial engagement with key departments, ensuring robust budget management, procurement oversight, and performance reporting. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you’ll combine commercial acumen with operational insight to drive financial discipline and value for money.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role suited to a confident and collaborative finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is motivated by purpose-driven work.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to support operational delivery

  • Driving financial input into change control, scenario planning, and strategic readiness
  • Presenting financial updates to senior management, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies
  • Championing financial best practice and continuous improvement across the organisation

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll be a qualified accountant (or equivalent) with proven experience in business partnering at a senior level. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence and challenge constructively. Key attributes:
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on outcomes
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially minded and delivery-focused
  • Proactive, organised, and resilient under pressure
  • Committed to integrity, inclusion, and legacy
