Job Description:

As an Expansion Manager for the Beauty Department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing merchandise assortment plans to meet or exceed financial targets. Your responsibilities will include engaging in open-to-buy (OTB) meetings, analysing market trends, crafting assortment strategies, assessing product performance, and nurturing vendor relationships. You will monitor weekly sales to identify reorder opportunities and recommend markdown strategies for underperforming products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a merchandise assortment plan for the Beauty Department to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Engage in open-to-buy (OTB) meetings with the Planning team to meet sales, profitability, and inventory turnover goals.
  • Continuously analyse market trends across social media platforms and competitor landscapes to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Craft assortment strategies that balance SKU range, depth versus breadth, product newness, and pricing/margin objectives.
  • Assess in-season and post-season sales to determine product performance, informing adjustments in strategy and future assortments.
  • Forge and nurture strong vendor relationships, seeking new partnerships that bolster the product offerings.
  • Monitor weekly sales to identify potential reorder opportunities and recommend markdown strategies for underperforming products.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience within the Branded Beauty sector.
  • A track record of successful vendor negotiations, emphasising product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace for effective data analysis and presentation.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Production, Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong prioritization, project management, organisational skills, and keen attention to detail.
