Senior Engagement Officer - ASAP start

Your new company
Our client is seeking a proactive and creative Senior Community Engagement Officer to lead the development of a strong, active and supportive community network. The role focuses on building long-term relationships with members across different life and career stages, and on delivering activities that encourage ongoing involvement, advocacy and collaboration both in the UK and internationally. You will shape and implement engagement plans, deliver targeted outreach campaigns and ensure the organisation maintains a vibrant, connected and responsive community.

Your new role
A key part of this role is the planning, creation and distribution of high-quality content that strengthens engagement and showcases the value of the organisation’s community. You will:
  • Lead content planning, developing structured editorial calendars and campaign plans that align with strategic objectives and member needs.
  • Create compelling content across multiple formats—including written articles, newsletters, social media copy, video scripts, interviews, podcasts and multimedia assets—to tell stories, highlight achievements and inspire participation.
  • Oversee content distribution, ensuring that all materials are delivered effectively across digital, print and social channels, tailored to audience segments and optimised for reach and engagement.
You will also manage and host a variety of events and online activities—from awards ceremonies and panel discussions to interviews, reunions, live streams, podcasts and stakeholder events—designed to celebrate achievements, promote involvement and strengthen loyalty.
Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with colleagues across marketing, communications, membership services, business engagement and volunteer coordination to ensure consistent, high‑impact messaging, maximise content opportunities and encourage contributions such as mentoring, volunteering, partnerships, case studies and expert input.

What you’ll need to succeed
This role requires excellent communication abilities, strong relationship‑building skills and a highly collaborative mindset.
You must demonstrate:
  • Proven experience in content planning, including editorial scheduling and campaign coordination.
  • Skilled content creation across written, visual and audio formats, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Confidence in content distribution, ensuring materials reach the right audiences through the right channels.
  • The ability to solve problems, manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to operational needs.
Flexibility is essential, as the role involves occasional out-of-hours work and travel to different sites to deliver events and activities.

What you’ll get in return
This role is for 9 months, working full time Monday to Friday. You will be paid an hourly rate of £23.37 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, paid weekly.
