Senior ER Advisor - Permanent - South Wales

Your new company

An established and values-led organisation is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Adviser to join its People team. Committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive workplace, the organisation places a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing, positive employee relations, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative environment where people-focused initiatives have a direct impact on organisational success and culture.

Your new role

As Senior Employee Relations Adviser, you will provide expert guidance on a wide range of complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, and organisational change cases. You will work closely with managers, HR colleagues, trade unions, and senior stakeholders to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes. The role will also involve supporting policy development, delivering training and coaching, analysing ER trends, promoting early intervention and conflict resolution, and contributing to wider people projects and initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will have substantial experience managing complex employee relations casework within a HR environment. You will possess strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law, with the ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based advice to managers and stakeholders. Experience working with trade unions, supporting organisational change, developing HR policies, and coaching leaders is highly desirable. A CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) and excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills are essential.

What you'll get in return

In return, you'll join a supportive and forward-thinking organisation that values professional development and employee wellbeing. You'll have the opportunity to influence workplace culture, contribute to meaningful people initiatives, and work alongside experienced HR professionals in a collaborative environment. A competitive salary, generous annual leave entitlement, and a comprehensive benefits package are available.

What you need to do now

If you're an experienced Employee Relations professional looking for your next challenge and would like to play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today or get in touch for a confidential discussion about the opportunity.
