Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer – Health & Blue Light Projects
Location: Manchester
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)
Type:Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity
A leading independent building services consultancy is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to join its Manchester team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for healthcare and emergency services infrastructure, and who is looking to take the next step towards leadership and future ownership within the business.
You’ll be working on some of the UK’s most technically challenging and rewarding health and bluelight projects, with the opportunity to shape the future of the company and its engineering direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical design and delivery of complex building services projects, particularly in the health and bluelight sectors.
  • Manage project teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across the business.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to business development and support strategic growth initiatives.

Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in electrical building services design, ideally within healthcare or emergency services environments.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, HTM guidance, and sustainability standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership (e.g., CEng, MIET, MCIBSE) is desirable.
