Your new role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in the design, delivery and coordination of electrical building services across a range of complex projects. Working within collaborative, nonperforming engineering teams, you’ll be responsible for:

Your new role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in the design, delivery and coordination of electrical building services across a range of complex projects. Working within collaborative, nonperforming engineering teams, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading electrical design from concept through to completion
- Producing calculations, specifications, reports and drawings
- Overseeing project delivery, resource planning and quality control
- Coordinating with mechanical, sustainability and architectural teams
- Attending site visits, client meetings and design workshops
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
- Ensuring compliance with standards, regulations and best practice
Projects vary by consultancy but typically include large‑scale commercial office refurbishments, education campuses, datacentres, high‑end residential schemes, healthcare upgrades and complex CAT A/CAT B fit‑outs.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in electrical building services design within a UK consultancy
- Good understanding of BS standards, CIBSE guidance and UK regulations
- Proficiency with industry software (Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit advantageous)
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership (CEng/IEng)
