• Establish, maintain, and manage the project’s design resources and team structure across bid, PCSA, and delivery stages, while leading a professional, comprehensive, and sustainable design service for customers and key partners/suppliers.
• Manage and safely coordinate the full design process through all RIBA stages, challenging the brief where needed and driving innovation and continuous improvement at both bid and delivery phases.
• Ensure all design management procedures are completed and followed, contribute to the overall design strategy and approach, and maintain adherence to the design brief/scope of service while developing a detailed scope for each key project stage.
• Coordinate the work of the design team, contractors, and statutory bodies (such as Local Authority planners, Building Control, and HSE) to meet programme-critical deadlines.
• Ensure the design process fully accounts for compliance requirements, current legislation, relevant standards, and applicable codes of practice.

• Strong experience in main contracting, ideally on Education, Office/Lab, or Residential projects valued £10–50m.
• Confident leading consultant teams, with good sustainability knowledge (Passivhaus, NABERS, BREEAM) and experience across bid and delivery stages.
• Background in Pre‑construction (PCSA), 3D design/BIM, and practical low‑carbon design methods.
