Your New Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for heavy equipment. You will work on both new product development and the customisation of existing machinery to meet customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include producing 3D models and 2D drawings, managing BOMs, and supporting prototype builds. You will also contribute to design reviews and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.
What You Will Need to Succeed
You should be proficient in Creo, as this is the preferred CAD platform, and ideally have experience using the Pulse document management system, which is widely recognised in the local engineering sector. A strong background in mechanical design, particularly in heavy equipment or machinery, is essential, along with the ability to work effectively within a team and manage your workload to meet project deadlines.
