The Role

  1. Report directly to the Client Services Manager.
  2. Manage workflows for a small team, ensuring timely, accurate, and budget-friendly delivery of work in alignment with client commitments.
  3. Oversee the management, development, and coaching of junior staff.
  4. Maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and expert guidance.
  5. Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  6. Handle corporation and personal tax returns.
  7. Conduct initial file reviews for technical accuracy before managerial and director-level assessment.
  8. Perform analytical reviews of clients’ financial data and lead review meetings to aid their understanding.
  9. Promote the firm's services and identify value-added opportunities for clients.
  10. Manage personal daily workloads efficiently.
The Requirements

  1. At least four years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  2. Qualified AAT, ACA, ACCA, or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or qualified by experience).
  3. Strong technical knowledge of current Financial Reporting Standards.
  4. Proven track record of delivering excellent service to clients.
  5. Ability to work independently without supervision.
  6. Capacity to meet strict deadlines.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Strong proficiency in accounting/tax systems; experience with Xero is an advantage.
  9. High-level competency in Excel and IT applications.
