Your new role
The role of the Senior Buyer is to manage the category spend for the asset works and compliance team. You will manage the end to end procurement activity and manage supplier relations. You will need to apply your category expertise to improve the efficiency of commercial offer to members. It is essential you develop strong relationships with key accounts, meet your targets and concentrate on value when delivering projects. There may be line management responsibilities to the buyers. This will involve mentoring or coaching the buyers to assist with their learning and development.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3 years experience as buyer
- Ideally have a construction buyer background
- Ideally public sector procurement background
- Preferably like previous line management experience
What you'll get in return
- £40,000 salary
- Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days wfh.

- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
