Your new role
As Senior Buyer, you will take ownership of procurement activities for advanced components and associated equipment, while leading a small team of buyers. Your responsibilities will include developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. You’ll play a key role in supporting production readiness and operational planning, as well as driving improvements in ERP systems and procurement processes. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, requiring strong leadership and commercial acumen.

What you'll need to succeed
- Degree-level qualification in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement and cost management.
- Strong background in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
- Proven ability to manage complex purchasing requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and process optimisation.
Desirable: - Professional membership (CIPS/APICS).
- Experience in composite or mechanical engineering procurement.
