Senior Associate within a growing UK law firms Banking & Finance team.

Your new company

A leading UK law firm with a growing presence in London is seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Associate to join its expanding Banking & Finance team. The successful candidate will become part of a close-knit group including two partners, two associates, a trainee, a paralegal, and an administrative assistant.

Your new role

You will be expected to manage a varied caseload independently, while also supporting the partners and contributing to the development of junior team members. Ideally, you will bring a strong network and the ability to generate new business. The firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment with excellent opportunities for career progression. The Banking & Finance team works closely with other departments, including Corporate, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Property, and maintains strong links with the firm’s wider UK offices.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales with 5+ years PQE (guidelines only)
  • Ability to manage standard banking and finance transactions, particularly in commercial property and/or corporate finance
  • Expertise in a specialist area of finance (e.g. real estate finance, structured finance, asset-based lending, trade finance, financial regulation, etc.)
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise junior team members
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring junior lawyers
