Are you an experienced actuary with a passion for shaping the future of pension risk transfer? A major professional services firm is expanding its pensions advisory capability and is seeking a talented Senior Manager to play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a fast‑growing risk transfer offering.

Your new role
As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate across specialist teams, oversee high‑quality project delivery, and coach junior colleagues to develop a high‑performing capability. You’ll help build and evolve the firm’s pension risk transfer proposition and support clients through complex transactions.

The role involves building and maintaining core knowledge assets across insurer research, pricing mechanics, market analysis and client reporting, while leveraging internal networks to identify opportunities and drive business growth. It also requires developing and nurturing strong external relationships with trustees, corporates and insurers, alongside creating compelling sales and marketing materials that support new business generation.

In addition, the position includes leading and mentoring team members to strengthen capability and expertise within the pension risk transfer market.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of managing and delivering pension risk transfer transactions, supported by a strong understanding of how risk transfer interacts with funding, investment and accounting. They will be a UK qualified actuary with an established network of trustee and insurer relationships, and will demonstrate the ability to lead teams effectively while supporting the development of junior colleagues.
