Your new job working as a commercial senior account handler will be based in the City of London for an independent Lloyd’s Broker. They have grown rapidly in the last 20 years to become one of the top independent brokers in the UK, dealing with over
16,000+ clients. Having completed numerous successful acquisitions, the company has secured further funding to continue its ambitious growth plans. They hold Chartered Insurance Broker status, awarded in recognition of their commitment to maintaining the highest standards in many areas. Due to the growth of their commercial team, a permanent job as a Senior Account Handler has arisen.

Your new role as a Senior Account Handler means you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding client service and managing complex insurance portfolios. You will work alongside Account Executives to ensure the retention and growth of client relationships while supporting the team objectives. You will play a vital role in client management as you will be the primary point of contact for client inquiries. You will manage a portfolio of commercial insurance claims as well as consistently building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. You must keep up to date regarding industry trends, market developments and regulatory changes. Renewals and policy management is a key part of this job with responsibilities including overseeing the entire renewal process, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance client coverage and protection and ensuring the accurate and timely administration of insurance policies, endorsements, and cancellations. This role includes a full range of tasks, consisting of providing quotations either via telephone, e- trade system, in writing or face to face; handling mid-term adjustments; supporting claims; and managing renewals from invitation to confirmation.

Your previous experience in a senior account holding role within the insurance sector or specialism as well as in-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets and underwriting processes will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will also need to be proficient in using insurance platforms and client management systems as well as a strong understanding of compliance responsibilities, including FCA regulations, consumer duty obligations, and other relevant standards. You will have a proven track record of ensuring all client and policy documentation adheres to regulatory and company compliance requirements. Ideally, you will have a CII qualification or a willingness to work towards it with business support as well as experience using Acturis or similar systems to manage insurance portfolios and streamline operations.
