Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Immediate Start | South Somerset Area
Are you a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact? We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the South Somerset area seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs.

The Role
This is a full-time, term-time-only position supporting a child on a 1:1 basis. The role involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, help with emotional regulation, and ensure the pupil can access learning in a safe and engaging environment.

The school is known for its nurturing ethos and strong community spirit. You’ll be joining a team that values empathy, teamwork, and a child-centred approach.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates who:
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly SEMH or communication needs
  • Are patient, resilient, and able to build strong relationships
  • Can work collaboratively with staff and follow individual learning plans
  • Are committed to promoting inclusion and pupil wellbeing

Location & Start Date
  • Based in the South Somerset area
  • Immediate start available
  • Full-time, term-time only
