SEND Teaching Assistant – Manchester – Temp to Perm – Immediate Start

Your New Job
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Manchester on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis, starting ASAP. You will support pupils aged 2–11 with a range of complex needs including autism, severe learning difficulties (SLD), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Your role will involve assisting with personalised learning plans, sensory activities, and personal care routines. You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school or care setting
  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Willingness to support with personal care and physical needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
