SEND Teaching Assistant – Specialist Secondary School (Salford)
Day Rate: £95 - £115 - Temp-to-perm – Start ASAP

Your New Job
You will be working as a SEND Teaching Assistant supporting students aged 11–19 with a range of complex learning needs, including severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and autism spectrum conditions (ASC). Your role will involve working closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. You’ll help implement EHCP targets, support communication and sensory needs, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly those with SLD, PMLD, or ASC
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to undertake personal care and manual handling (training provided)
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
