SEND Teaching Assistant | Blackpool | Start ASAP – long-term | High school – KS3/4

Your new company

Hays Education is working with a high school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and helping them thrive in a mainstream school environment.

Your new role

In this role, you will work closely with teachers and the SEND department to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting in whole-class settings, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions, and helping students access the curriculum effectively. You will play a key role in promoting inclusion and ensuring every learner feels supported and valued.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for someone with experience working with children or young people with SEND, ideally within a secondary school setting. Strong communication skills, patience, and a proactive approach are essential. A background in supporting students with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a competitive daily rate, ongoing support from your dedicated Hays consultant, and access to free training and development opportunities. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people and contribute to a positive school environment.
