Your new company
Hays Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to work within a specialist provision supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex learning difficulties. This is an exceptional opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Your new role
  • Deliver high‑quality, personalised teaching to pupils with ASD and a range of complex needs
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual EHCP targets and developmental levels
  • Use a range of communication strategies, including visual supports, sensory approaches, and structured routines
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, support staff, and families
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and predictable learning environment that supports emotional regulation and engagement
  • Contribute to assessment, progress tracking, and personalised learning plans

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with ASD, PMLD, SLD, or complex SEND needs
  • Strong understanding of sensory processing, communication differences, and behaviour as communication
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to differentiate creatively and deliver highly individualised learning
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
