SEND Learning Support Assistant – Blackpool

Hays Education are working in partnership with a secondary school in Blackpool to recruit a Level 3 qualified SEND Learning Support Assistant for a long-term temporary role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs. You’ll be working closely with teaching staff to support students with a range of needs, including autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Your role will involve providing tailored support in both classroom and small group settings, helping students to access the curriculum and develop confidence in their learning.

To be considered, you must hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent), and have experience working with children or young people with SEND. A calm, patient and resilient approach is essential, along with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for inclusive education.

This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible, offering competitive pay and the chance to work in a supportive and well-resourced environment. You’ll also benefit from ongoing support from your dedicated Hays consultant and access to professional development opportunities.
