Job Overview
We are excited to offer the opportunity for a motivated individual to join our community and work with our exceptional students based at Wigston / South Wigston / Braunstone.
We are currently looking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Instructor/s to work with students that display a range of needs including SEN and SEMH. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our well established, friendly and supportive team where your input will be key in achieving positive outcomes for our young people
Job Requirements
As an Instructor you will work without direct supervision of a Lead Instructor / Line Manager to provide teaching and learning and associated activities in accordance with our policies and procedures. This will include instructing individuals on a 1:1 basis or leading whole class learning activities.
Due to the nature of our provision, a formal teaching qualification is not required, however we are specifically looking for Instructors who can deliver either Functional Skills, Construction, Art, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Travel and Tourism or Animal Care.
The appointed person/s will work within a team and will provide teaching and learning, pastoral support, guidance, care and encouragement to our students. Therefore, it is crucial the successful candidates have an ability to engage with young people and care about their happiness and wellbeing.
You may be an experienced ELSA practitioner or behaviour mentor, be experienced working with children and young people with SEN or SEMH. Regardless of experience, a ‘can do’ attitude is essential in this fast-based demanding role, where we are all passionate about the potential of young people. The successful candidates will need excellent communication, time management and team working skills as well as patience and resilience

About Us
Invent Training is a small, independent alternative education provision based in Braunstone and Wigston, Leicestershire.
We work with young people who are at risk of exclusion from education or who struggle to succeed in a typical educational environment.
We work with students from across Leicestershire.
Desirable experience/qualifications
• GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in both Maths and English.
• Understand the importance of supportive student / instructor relationships within an SEMH setting
• Experience and knowledge of working with students who are disengaged, disaffected or disruptive within education (desirable)
• A valid driving licence (desirable)
