Salary: £53,731 - £57,556 per annum (FTE) Outer London (L1 – L4)

Hays Education is delighted to partner with a primary school in the heart of Southeast London, in their search for a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENCO) to join their committed team from September 2025.

Your New Role

As SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality SEND provision, ensuring that all pupils with additional needs receive the support and guidance required to thrive. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies, providing strategic leadership and driving forward an inclusive ethos.

What You'll Need to Succeed

•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete this).
•Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs across primary age groups.
•Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching approaches.
•Ability to develop, implement, and review SEN Support Plans effectively.
•Experience collaborating with external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pupils, parents, staff, and professionals.
•Strong leadership skills to manage and support staff in delivering outstanding SEND provision.
•Highly organised and proactive, committed to continuous professional development.
