As SENDCo, you will play a pivotal role in driving the schools SEND strategy. You’ll lead the provision for students with special educational needs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and delivering tailored support that enables every learner to succeed. Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the SEND department and managing EHCP processes.
Coordinating interventions and liaising with external agencies.
Supporting staff with training and strategies for inclusive teaching.
Monitoring progress and implementing effective support plans.
This is a full-time temporary position, five days per week, offering you the chance to make an immediate impact.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and ideally the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it).
Proven experience in SEND leadership or a strong background in inclusive education.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.
