SEN Teaching Assistant - Blackpool
Hays have been approached by a secondary school in Blackpool who are seeking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work 5 days a week and provide consistent support for pupils who need the extra help. This role is working alongside KS3 and KS4 students who have been permanently excluded.
As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils. This could either be working as a general classroom support to a class of around 10 students or working on a 1:1 basis. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. This particular role would be a good fit for somebody with residential children's home experience who has good deescalation and empathy skills.
As the school is recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role. However, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate and will be working in this successful school where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience. A dedicated consultant will always be on hand should you have any questions or concerns.
If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now. If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
