SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist setting supporting pupils with Generic Learning Difficulties (GLD). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive in education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including GLD.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning plans and interventions.
  • Implement strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Promote independence and inclusion in the classroom.
  • Support with personal care where required.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a SEN support role.
  • Knowledge of SEN, including Generic Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Speech & Language needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
