SEN Teaching Assistant

Hays Education are working with an SEN provision primary school in Southport that are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role, and will be permanent for the right person starting from September.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
- Support students in developing social skills and independence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
