Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary school in the centre of Runcorn as they are looking for a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support a pupil with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and delayed speech who will be joining the school on September 19th. Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be joining the reception class. You will support the class teacher in offering a stimulating and engaging learning environment and offer 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD and a speech delay. - Speech and language interventions
- Phonics sessions and assessments on a 1:1 basis using the RWI scheme and letters & sounds
- Positive behaviour support: your pupil responds exceptionally to sensory stimuli, movements breaks and brain breaks
- Experience delivering basic speech and language interventions (Makaton is also beneficial)
- Basic numeracy and literacy interventions
- Integrating your pupil into new pupil groups as they develop their speech

- Experience supporting SEN (ASD and speech delay is preferred)
