Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: South Liverpool
Area: Allerton Pay: £95 per day
Job Description
Hays Education are working with a mainstream primary based in the Allerton area who are seeking a full time SEN Teaching Assistant to join them working in their SEN Hub.
The role will involve:
- Support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to access learning and participate fully in school life
- Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo to deliver individual education plans (IEPs), EHCP targets, and tailored interventions
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Adapt learning activities, resources, and teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles and abilities
Previous Experience Required
- Previous experience working with SEN children at a primary age
- Or relevant experience from a care background
- Possession or ability to obtain enhanced DBS checks
