SEN Teaching Assistant – Salford – Immediate Start – Long-Term Role

Your New Job
Hays Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in the Salford area. This full-time role is to start immediately and is offered on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, both in the classroom and through targeted 1:1 and small group interventions. The role requires a proactive and nurturing approach, with a strong focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (in a school or care setting)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN-specific training) are desirable but not essential.
