Your New Job
We are currently recruiting for two SEN Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated SEN unit within a mainstream primary school in the Tameside area. These roles are to start ASAP in September on a temporary basis, with the school actively seeking permanent placements for the right candidates. You will primarily support pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with complex special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and sensory processing needs. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll help deliver tailored interventions, support emotional regulation, and create a safe, engaging learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a nurturing and inclusive team, where your contribution will have a direct impact on the development and wellbeing of young learners.

The unit is known for its strong pastoral care, structured routines, and therapeutic approach to learning. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive both academically and emotionally.
