This is a full-time, term-time-only position with a temp-to-perm pathway, ideal for candidates seeking long-term career development in SEN education. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in SEN support, youth work, or mental healthcare, who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable learners. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students aged 7–18 with a range of complex needs including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised learning and care plans
- Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour
- Assist with classroom activities, sensory interventions, and outdoor learning
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families

What You'll Need to Succeed

- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to individual pupil's needs
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Qualifications in education, childcare, psychology, or health and social care are desirable but not essential.
