Hays Education are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools in and around Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant looking for flexible work while supporting pupils with additional needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with SEN within a mainstream primary classroom
• Working as a teaching assistant on a 1:1 basis or with small groups
• Assisting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties
• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning plans
• Helping pupils remain engaged, focused and confident in lessons
• Providing consistent, nurturing support as an SEN teaching assistant

What we're looking for:

• Experience as a teaching assistant, SEN teaching assistant or in a similar child-focused role
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for working as a teaching assistant in primary education
• Strong communication and team work skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
