About the Role
We are looking for a caring, resilient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the beautiful
Forest of Dean. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt resources and strategies
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children with
SEN, ideally in a school setting - A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) are desirable.
