Hays Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a Northwich-based specialist SEND school that supports pupils with complex and profound needs between the ages of 4 - 11. This is an extremely supporting and welcoming school that requires long-term full-time support from an experienced SEN professional for a small EYFS class for pupils with complex and medical needs.
Your new role
In your new role as a teaching assistant within this school, you will be joining a team of like-minded SEN professionals. You will offer comprehensive child-led support within a small EYFS class consisting of 7 pupils with complex and profound needs. The pupils you will be supporting are all extremely loving but, due to their needs, do not have capacity. You will work alongside the class teacher and three other teaching assistants and your duties will include:
- Completing speech and language support
- Mobility support
- Working alongside external specialists, including speech and language and physio therapists
- Completing personal/intimate care requirements
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, referenceable experience supporting complex and profound needs, and:
- Be able to commit to a full-time contract 32.5 hours per week
- Experience supporting mobility needs
- Experience supporting speech and language requirements
- Be comfortable completing personal and intimate care requirements
