Supply Teaching Assistant – SEN/SEMH Schools
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are working closely with a range of SEN and SEMH schools who are seeking dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a variety of additional needs. Whether you’re looking for day-to-day supply, short-term cover, or long-term placements, we can offer opportunities that suit your availability and preferences.
Your new role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work flexibly across a range of settings, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll play a key role in helping pupils access learning, manage behaviour, and develop social and emotional skills.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Hays)
