SEN Teaching Assistant – Rugby

Location: Rugby

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday

Your new setting

You will be joining a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Warwickshire that supports children and young people with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and communication difficulties. Your new role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with their learning and development in both classroom and one‑to‑one settings.
  • Assist with personal care routines where required.
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with classroom activities and resources.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to adapt to different needs and situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs, including personal care.
