SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist School (Rugby)

Location: Rugby

Contract: Ongoing Supply + Temp‑to‑Perm

Opportunities Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

About The Setting

We’re supporting a specialist school in Rugby that works with children and young people with a wide range of additional needs. The school is warm, structured, and highly supportive, with a strong focus on communication, independence, and personal development.

Your new role

This is a flexible role offering a mix of morning‑call cover, pre‑booked supply days, and regular weekly gaps. For candidates who settle well and demonstrate strong SEN practice, there are also temp‑to‑perm pathways available.

You’ll be supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, and complex support requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, or within the classroom
  • Encouraging engagement, communication, and positive behaviour
  • Assisting with structured learning and sensory‑based activities
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and support teams

What We're Looking For

This school needs strong, confident SEN practitioners who can adapt quickly and support pupils with diverse needs. Reliability is essential, especially for morning‑call availability.

You’ll be a great fit if you:
  • Have experience supporting SEN/SEND pupils
  • Are calm, patient, and resilient
  • Can commit to supply work and respond to morning calls
  • Are open to long‑term or temp‑to‑perm opportunities
  • Work well as part of a supportive team

What you'll get in return

  • Regular supply work across the week
  • Morning call and pre‑booked shifts
  • Weekly pay
  • Temp‑to‑perm opportunities for strong candidates
  • Ongoing support from our team
  • A rewarding role where you can make a real impact
