SEN Teaching Assistant - Rugby
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full‑time, term time
Location: Rugby
Pay: Competitive daily rate
Start: ASAP
About the role
A well‑established, Ofsted‑rated ‘Good’ specialist school is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You’ll work closely with learners to help develop communication, independence, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
Your day will involve:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Assisting with communication, sensory needs, and independence skills
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and stay engaged
- Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience with SEN, SEMH, ASD, MLD, PMLD, or complex needs
- Background as an SEN TA, Support Worker, LSA, or Care Worker
- Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
