Your new company

Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a single-form entry primary school in the heart of Runcorn as they are looking to recruit experienced and motivated teaching assistants to support pupils with SEN within the Early Years (Reception) class. This is a full-time ongoing contract that will last until the Christmas period.


Your new role

Within your new role you will be supporting 5 pupils with SEN within the early years class. The pupils you will be supporting do have a dual diagnosis of ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions) and non-verbal. You will support your new pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis within a separate classroom, offering speech and language therapy, by the use of phonics and PECs as well as implementing positive behaviour strategies by effectively identifying and managing their triggers. You will liaise with the SENCO and class teacher on their progress and over time integrate them into the main classroom.


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as recent referenceable experience supporting children and young people. Other requirements include:

  • An NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Experience supporting SEN
  • Be able to commit to a full-time contract
