Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN Base)
Location: Primary School in Sefton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time / Temporary (with potential for extension)

About the Role:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Sefton, working within their dedicated SEN base. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and develop essential skills in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to pupils within the SEN base, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Assist with implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-specific training) are desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
