Hays Education are delighted to offer a full-time SEN Teacher role around Heathfield/ Wadhurst.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Teach across a range of age groups, adapting lessons to suit varying developmental stages.
  • Differentiate learning effectively, using a range of strategies and resources to ensure accessibility for all.
  • Create a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and specialist staff to deliver a holistic learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching plans as needs evolve.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s development.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS.
  • Experienced in teaching children with SEN, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
  • Skilled in positive behaviour management and creative teaching strategies.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Confident in adapting lessons to suit diverse learning profiles.
