About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school environment in Northamptonshire. You will be working with pupils aged 4–19 who have a range of complex needs including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and communication difficulties.

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school environment in Northamptonshire. You will be working with pupils aged 4–19 who have a range of complex needs including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and communication difficulties.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering individualised, sensory-rich lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes.
- Using tools such as PECS, Makaton, and other communication aids.
- Collaborating with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic development.
- Creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence, trust, and enjoyment.
- Monitoring progress and contributing to review meetings and reports.
What You’ll Need to Succeed - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or specialist provision.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Strong resilience, patience, and creativity in the classroom.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
