Make a Meaningful Impact in SEN Education
We are seeking a committed and adaptable SEN Teacher to join an inclusive and supportive school in Northampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with pupils across primary or secondary age ranges who present with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, SEMH, sensory needs and communication barriers.

You will play a key role in helping learners build confidence, independence, emotional regulation, and a positive attitude towards learning within a nurturing, structured environment.

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with individual learning needs
• Use a range of SEN strategies including visual supports, sensory regulation, and structured routines.
• Work alongside experienced teaching assistants and SEN specialists

• Build trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, understood and supported

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver tailored, accessible lessons for pupils with diverse SEN needs
• Use strategies such as positive reinforcement, visual timetables, sensory breaks and structured routines.
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, SENCOs and families to ensure cohesive support
• Create a calm, well‑organised and nurturing classroom space
• Contribute to EHCP reviews, progress reports and multi‑agency meetings
• Support pupils throughout the day with communication, behaviour, transitions and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For
• QTS (Primary or Secondary) with experience teaching in SEN settings
• Strong understanding of a range of needs (ASD, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, SEMH, sensory needs)
• A patient, flexible and empathetic approach • Confidence in adapting teaching to suit individual learning styles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
