You will be working across a range of welcoming and inclusive primary, secondary and specialist settings within Leicestershire. These schools are committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, SEMH needs, and communication and learning difficulties. Your new role

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and wider staff to support pupil progress.
• Manage behaviour effectively using positive and trauma-informed approaches.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to feedback where required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Have experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
• Be adaptable, resilient, and confident working in different school environments.
• Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Be passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting every learner.
