SEN Teacher Job in Newham, East London. Competitive Salary!

Location: Newham
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (Maternity Cover until July 2026)
Pay Scale: M1–M6 (dependent on experience)
Start Date: November 2025

This Primary School in Newham is a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment committed to supporting every child’s development. The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to cover maternity leave in their specialist SEN class within the mainstream setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEN Teacher to make a meaningful impact in a well-resourced and supportive school. You will:

•Teach and support a small class of pupils with diverse SEN needs, including ASD, speech & language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties
•Deliver creative, differentiated lessons that engage and inspire all learners
•Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals to provide targeted support
•Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels safe, respected, and motivated to succeed
•Maintain strong communication with parents and carers, celebrating progress and sharing strategies for success

What you'll need to succeed

•Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
•Has experience teaching pupils with special educational needs in either mainstream or specialist settings
•Demonstrates empathy, patience, and creativity in supporting individual learning journeys
•Works well as part of a dedicated team and communicates effectively
•Is passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a difference
