SEN Teacher needed for mainstream Primary School - full academic year job

Your new school

I’m currently working with a primary school in Birmingham that is looking to appoint an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to lead their Enhanced Provision class from the 2026–2027 academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-supported setting, leading a small group of Key Stage 2 pupils with cognition and learning needs and ASC. The role focusses on delivering highly personalised learning, with pupils accessing tailored core subject teaching, targeted interventions, and some time within mainstream classes.

Your new role

  • Teaching a small class of approximately 10 pupils with EHCPs or additional support plans
  • Delivering individualised learning pathways
  • Working alongside a full-time Teaching Assistant
  • Supported by an experienced SENDCo and wider team
  • Dedicated PPA time (approx. 3 hours per week)
  • Additional planning and monitoring support from an experienced SEN teacher

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience working with SEND (essential)
  • Confident in delivering adaptive teaching and interventions
  • A nurturing, structured and engaging approach to learning
  • Please note: this role is not suitable for ECTs due to the level of experience required.
